14.4 Bridging from Polygon to FreCx (Burn and Release)

To move assets back to the FreCx network, the reverse process is executed.

The user initiates a burn transaction on the Polygon network, specifying the amount of FreCx(Polygon) to convert. Once the transaction is confirmed, the FreCx(Polygon) tokens are permanently removed from circulation.

Following the burn operation, the bridge system verifies the transaction and triggers the release of the equivalent amount of FreCx tokens from the locked pool on the FreCx network. These tokens are then transferred back to the user’s wallet.

This ensures that:

• Tokens in Polygon are destroyed before native tokens are released in FrecX

• supply consistency is maintained across both chains
